Very flimsy. My 4 year old broke the ball off the lid within a week and while having a simple "tea party."
The set is very bright and beautiful. The size is perfect for little hands. BUT The inside of the cups seems to be painted because when my daughter pour some water from the kettle and into the cup, I saw gray paint around her mouth. Washing the tea set didn't help. I don't think it's safe for kids to touch these cups with their mouths.
The only negative thing I can say about this set is it didn't come with any silverware. Not even spoons! I would also have liked to have the lid hinged. It comes in a cute little hatbox. It is very cute though and durable. I got it for a two-year-old and she's very hard on it and it is holding up. I bought the little petit fours to go with them.
nice tea set, smaller than expected but my daughter loves it. the lid to the tea pot is too small for a 1 year old so i've hidden it for now. other than that it's good.
