Ok. So I bought this machine for my 6 year old, and I think I have used it more often, but that's only because she's at school! We have made a couple of little bags(like in the directions) and a couple of pillows for her friends. So fun!haha SewFun. anyway-I've been trying to learn to use a sewing machine for awhile now, and I have a very complicated machine that I was intimidated by, after using this machine a couple times(because of simple straight forward directions)I am on my way! Now I can use mine and my daughter's! We have a great time! It's OUR time when we can sit together and use the machine! BTW-she can use it herself without my help, she just needed to practice at first!
Wow, this is a great kit for kids. All accessories were included in box, foot pedal, plug, also takes batteries ( not included ) . This little machine works great, does not have a reverse for locking stiches, but we just go over it . We did have a slight problem with the thread breaking , but I just changed the the thread to a better quality, and released ALL the tension. It did help alot. Both my girls 3 & 6. Having been sewing everyday since we got this! !!!
Santa just brought this for my six year old, mature, divaesque, total girl daughter who loves creative toys. We just did the hand bag and she absolutely loved it. It is definitely a mommy-daughter toy, but what a great way to spend quality time. Its made quite well, not cheap and flimsy at all. My only complaint is no light. I would highly recommend this for any little girly girl!
