What buyers wrote about this set

I had never seen this in person, so I didn't know what quality it would be, but it's great. It has good sturdy wood, a thick cord, and a wooden dowel attached to the end of the cord as a "threading needle." The painting job is cute, too. I love that it has the stoplight piece at the opposite end of the needle so the vehicles don't just slide off the end. This is great for toddlers who want to practice their manual dexterity. It's not too tricky, but it's an interesting task for them to do. I love it for my quiet bag I bring to church.

Cute. The paint's coming off only after 4-5 uses (just the edges where they touch eachother), so it doesn't look new long. She still likes lacing them though. She played with them more at age 1. They blocks are large and heavy enough not to fit into her mouth. They are also large and heavy enough NOT to make a necklace. So you lace it and are done. Tada! 30 seconds of playtime. She doesn't unlace them. It takes longer for me to find them, then for her to play with it. Even when we name each car. Or try to find them on the road and add a bead etc. Just not a lot of playtime. But it's cute and well made. I have no idea what the paint is made of.

My 3 year old and my 18 month old both love this string set. They will sit and play with it for 20 minutes at a time (quite a while on a short attention span.) I love how they are utilizing their fine motor skills and learning cause and effect. All of the different vehicles are great for their imagination, as they make different noises and pretend the cars are going to different places. Simple wooden toys win out over big flashy noise toys any day.
